American Family Insurance settles Colorado injury lawsuit 3/10/2006 American Family Mutual Insurance Co. has settled privately with a former University of Colorado professor and a UW-Madison graduate who were seriously injured in a car crash. A jury had granted a $3 million award to Dominic Peressini, who filed a lawsuit after the insurer allegedly denied his claim. The original claims was for lost wages for consulting work following a 2003 car accident that left Peressini with a brain injury and mangled arm.
