Judge Awards $50M In Wrongful Death Suit

A judge awarded $50 million in damages in a wrongful death lawsuit brought by the parents of a 9-year-old boy who was murdered in November 2000 by a repeat sex offender.
Elmer Spencer is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for abducting, sexually abusing and killing Christopher Ausherman. The lawsuit claimed Spencer was wrongfully released from prison when he was a danger to society.
